Supervising
I am open to supervising PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s theses on topics aligned with my research interests. In addition to the examples listed below, I am happy to discuss and explore any proposed topics that are both intriguing and fall within my area of expertise. I provide comprehensive academic supervision, emphasizing research-driven study and critical engagement. My students benefit from the opportunity to actively participate in my ongoing projects and I will encourage and help with publications of the final results. Contact me if you are interested!
Research Topics
My research focuses on digital geography and GIS, particularly on spatial media (online maps, social networks), games (game world design, serious games), smart cities, and augmented and virtual reality technologies (VR and AR). I concentrate on utilizing solutions such as WebXR, in urban planning, and 3D visualization of urban models and various types of data. I represent the critical approach to geographic information systems (Critical GIS), emphasizing the social aspects of GIS and activist practices – participation and collaboration with local communities. Future research interests also include topics related to biosensors and GIS in general
